OUR ROOTS
My name is Julie Backlund and I am the owner/director of Roots and Wings. I have a degree from BYU-Idaho in Professional Preschool Education and a degree from Utah State in Family and Consumer Science. Before becoming a licensed child care provider in 2007, I worked at 3 different child care centers and taught preschool at Head Start. I also have 6 children of my own ages 7-20.

Our teachers are what make our program exceptional. All of our teachers are dedicated and caring individuals who are committed to making a difference in children’s lives. Most of our teachers are students at Utah State majoring in Early Childhood development or a related field.
